the absurd and bizarre adventures of King Arthur in the Knights of Camelot on their quest to find the Holy Grail Monty Python and the Holy Grail is among the funniest films ever made nearly every scene is a wonderfully crafted piece of comedic gold put most of it delivered by the same half-a-dozen actors in addition the grandiose music and settings perfectly offset the incredibly silly dialogue though some would argue it isn't Monty Python's best work there is no denying how accessible and utterly quotable the movie is with references to it found all over pop culture.
3. "Seven Samurai"
one of director Akira Kurosawa's greatest and most famous films Seven Samurai depicts a gaggle of ronin or samurai without masters who are hired to guard a village from bandits the film is epic long and scale and features compelling characters and fantastic action it is also one among the foremost influential movies of the 20th century sparking an entire host of films.
about a small group of fighters battling against incredible odds to save lots of the defenseless given its impact on cinema and other media also as how engrossing it's Seven Samurai is definitely worthy of watching provided you have a spare three and a half hours.

5. "hot gates battle 300"
this beautifully stylized scene captures the mood and aesthetic of zack snyder's 300 perfectly the brutal combat as the persians try to push through the spartans showcases the strength of the so-called 300 setting the stage for why this movie is so well regarded it isn't just the action but the badass one-liners that the spartan characters utter while kicking butt that make this movie so delightful interestingly according to history.
those laconic statements were very in character for the spartans and indeed the word laconic is derived from laconia the region that sparta ruled it's fun to think that the real spartans could are even as dramatic as gerard butler

6. "Six Feet Under "
this show has to be one of the most relentlessly morose yet weirdly uplifting things ever put on television it primarily deals with human mortality and the pain and big Uwe T and philosophical quandary that represents he plot follows the proprietors of a funeral home and their interactions with each other and the grieving people who walk through their doors it explores many heavy and dense themes concerning mortality and it certainly isn't afraid to mine the absolute depths of human pain and suffering that said it also finds time for contentment and tranquility and it's brilliant finale remains one of the most beautiful and soul soothing episodes ever aired on TV

7. " Battlestar Galactica"
Battlestar Galactica or battleship galaxy as Michael Scott calls it is arguably the greatest science fiction show of all time while some recent like altered carbon and the expanse have garnered their share of popularity neither has yet reached the heights of Battlestar Galactica your race invented like all great science fiction stories this one uses its futuristic setting as an allegory to explore topical themes like the war on terror in the Catholic Church of course you can just ignore all that and enjoy the incredible story and scenery at face value it's a treat for the mind the eyes and the heart

it's clear that Breaking Bad has been an enormous influence on this decades television and as with Barry there are comparisons to be made with the Americans it follows two Soviet spies pretending to be a married American couple in suburban Washington and wouldn't you know it their neighbor works counterintelligence for the FBI he show contains all the excitement and glorious cat-and-mouse tension you'd expect but it also serves as a contemplative look at marriage and self-identification the fact that it can also effortlessly balance the two tones and genres is amazing in both Keri Russell and Matthew Reese turn in wonderful performances this flew under the mainstream radar for most of its run but it's already a cult classic
